imergo® online: Frequently Asked Questions
In the following, we present a list of frequently asked questions in regard to this
site, our products or our services.
Questions
- How do I interpret the results of the report of the demo
service?
- The demo report is divided in three sections: XHTML/SGML validation, CSS
validation and accessibility compliance according to different regulations or
standards, like Section 508 in the U.S.A., Barrierefreie Informationstechnik-Verordnung
(BITV, Decree on Accessible Information Technology), in Germany,
or the three compliance levels of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0
(WCAG). For every section, a list of messages is presented
containing the type of error (Fatal Error, Error, Warning or Info), the line and
column number where the problem can be localized in the source code, a short
descriptive message of the problem, and the checkpoint or criteria that has been
tested in the regulation or standard.
- Does the demo contains all the functionality of the commercial
version?
- No. The demo version contains a subset of the functionality of the commercial
version. Only the XHTML/SGML and CSS validation offer a complete report for the
tested resource.
- The report does not present any message: is my site
compliant?
- No. As mentioned before, the demo version is not complete. Furthermore, there
are compliance aspects of the regulations that require expert advice. Please, refer
to our consultancy services for additional
information.
- Can I implement special rules that simplify the editorial
workflow and the quality assurance processes of my Web portal?
